Nothing personally identifiable. TestMyFocus does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personal information to use the service.
Your focus scores, streak count, and 7-day history are stored exclusively in your
browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted
to our servers.
We collect standard anonymous server logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL, timestamp) for the sole purpose of understanding aggregate traffic patterns. These logs are retained for 30 days and then deleted.
We use no tracking cookies and no third-party advertising pixels. If we use an analytics service (e.g. Plausible or a self-hosted solution), it is configured to collect no personally identifiable information and to respect Do Not Track headers.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other behavioral tracking tool that builds profiles about individual users across the web.
Because we don't collect personal data, there is no personal data to secure on our end. Your score history is stored in your browser only. Clearing your browser data will erase your history — this is by design.
If you use the optional share feature, the text copied to your clipboard is generated client-side and is never transmitted to our servers.
We load fonts from Google Fonts. This means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when loading the page, which may allow Google to log your IP address. If this concerns you, using a browser extension that blocks Google Fonts requests is an effective mitigation.
We have no affiliate relationships or advertising partners that receive user data.
TestMyFocus does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The service collects no personal information from any user regardless of age. If you believe a child has somehow submitted personal data to us, please contact us and we will investigate.
If we materially change how data is handled — for example, if we ever introduce accounts or third-party analytics — we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. We will not retroactively apply new data practices to existing users without clear notice.
